Max is 2 years old!

Our Big Boy is TWO YEARS OLD! It goes without saying that the time has passed too quickly! Max woke up this morning and I let him have cake and ice cream for breakfast. He now thinks I am the coolest mommy ever (until he wakes up tomorrow to a cereal bar and fruit, haha!) It is so weird to think of how quickly and how much our little man has changed when I look at him today and think back to the last two August 24ths. We are hoping to make this the first hospital-free August 24th!

Max is 28 lbs, 0 oz. He is somewhere in the 36 inch neighborhood, however was not cooperative at his 2 year well child check. He is wearing 2T clothes and a few 3T items. It is so weird to have him in clothes that match his age! He wears 2T/3T socks and size 7-8 shoes. He is wearing size 5 Huggies Supreme and will be for a while... until he potty trains at least!

Max favorite toys and ways to play:
* Cars, cars, trucks, cars, trains, and more cars... need I say more?!
* Sandbox and pool!
* Baby sister Kinley! They are both intrigued by each other and Max loves to help Mommy with Kinley in any way he can!
* Books! We have a little book worm!
* TV shows: Go Diego Go, Thomas the Tank Engine, Roary the Racing Car
* Movies: Disney Cars, Lion King, Finding Nemo
* Max also loves animals and telling you what noises they make
* Play lawn mower or Little Tikes car are always big hits on our neighborhood walks

His Routine: Max goes to bed around 7:30-8pm and wakes up at 7-7:30 in the morning. He takes a nap from 12-1 to 3-4.

Developmentally:
* Vocabulary explosion?! Holy moly, that's no exaggeration! Within the last couple months he's picking up more and more words and starting to form sentences it's amazing! Sometimes it feels like every day he learns a new word! (yet 'no' is used 10x more than all other words combined...)
* Max likes to 'count' things... however the only number he uses is 'two.' He will point at objects and count 'two, two, two, TWO CARS!'
* Max is a terrific climber and can now jump... and get air!
* Max is definitely into imitating us and trying to be a big boy. He is a big help with his little sister and will throw her dirty diapers in the garbage and put her dirty clothes in the laundry.
* The binky... the binky is GONE! It's still a rough go, but Max has been binky free for one whole week!
