Monthly update: How is it even possible that it's time to do another one of these updates?! I swear kids make time go by faster (except at 3am!). Overall Kinley is doing well, but her reflux continues to be a battle. We started Zantac soon after she turned 3 months, which worked for a very short time, then we switched to Prevacid. We are hoping that the Prevacid will work because after our insurance pays for most of this medication, we are still left with a $50/month bill... ouch! Currently we are not impressed, but may just need to give the medication more time to take effect. Kinley is still growing like a weed... but still no where near Max's obscene growth, thank God! She's in 3-6 month clothes, but we may need to start looking at the 6-9 month clothes before she hits 6 months... but I don't wanna! I want my little baby back! Kinley is in size 3 Pampers Cruisers and size 3 Huggies Supreme. Not sure which we like better so we are just buying which ever ones we have coupons for. We've also started putting her in size 3 Huggies overnights because she likes to pee!
Her favorite toys are:
* Rainforest Jumperoo - She is so in love with this! Jump, jump, jump, jump! Sometimes she'll even cry when you take her out! She's figured out how to play with the toys around her, but desperately tries to jump high enough to snag the frog and bird that hang above her!
* Exersaucer - she likes to be upright and to check out all the toys, but she appears to be annoyed that this does not bounce like her jumperoo!
* Swing - Catching a few zzz's in the swing is always a nice way to spend down time!
* High Chair - when she sitting up in the high chair she can help mommy around the kitchen or 'enjoy' dinner with the family
* And of course she and Max are still extremely entertained by each other's presence
Her routine: We're getting there! Kinley's nursing is very sporadic - which I am assuming is due to her reflux problems. While awake Kinley nurses every 1-3 hrs. We've been trying to establish a napping routine. So far she's been taking a morning nap at 9-10am for about 2 hrs. Then she takes an afternoon nap at 1pm for about 2 hrs. In the evening she may take a 1hr nap around 5pm. We have a combined bedtime routine for her and Max. They both go to bed around 7:30-8pm. She usually wakes once a night to eat, then is up at 6-7am.
Developmentally:
* Babbling - she loves to talk... but what is she trying to say? Whatever it is, it sounds pretty exciting!
* Head control - she is very strong pushing up from lying on her stomach. She also no longer has any head lag when you pull her to a sitting position... what a big girl!
* Smiles and Dimples gallore! She's only let out a few giggles - I guess that's just her style!
* Lots of batting for toys, and every once in a while she gets one! Where does it end up? Her mouth, of course!
* She can also twist her body so that she rolls to her side, but hasn't quite figured out how to go further.
