Trick or Treat or Tantrum...
Well... not the Happy Halloween we envisioned! Max may have woken up from his nap a little prematurely and was *NOT* a happy camper... or cowboy. He was so upset that even a stick of cheese would not cheer him up (whoa). After some forced cuddles, a forced cheese stick, and a Baby Neptune DVD the tears stopped... kinda. We headed out for some trick or treating... Max wanted to pull the wagon himself. One problem. He is 14 months old. The wagon was not moving. God forbid you try to help him. Then the meltdown starts. And continues, and continues. His cowgirl girlfriend watches in horror and embarassment. We decide to ditch the whole night. Carry him back to the house kicking and screaming, like only Monster Max can. He throws his head back in the garage and gets 4 gashes in his forehead... I will call them vampire bites. We give him a few minutes to blow some steam off in his crib. He calms down... kinda. We he comes downstairs he starts playing with our Halloween candy and realizes it's quite fun! So we decide to give the Trick or Treating another try. We made it most houses that we hoped to go to - just a handful of neighbor friends. It was so windy that his little cowboy hat kept blowing off. His cowgirl counterpart was also not in the best of moods. We will have to take Halloween pictures another time. Fun Times!! Sign us up for next year!
