Pre-Rehearsal

We arrived at Oneida in time to help out a little as the Kallet was being set up for the reception. Daddy ran around with Max as he explored and I helped with the favors. After that we met Grandma Joan for some lunch. Daddy, Max, and the puppies went for a walk, then took a nap while I went to get a manicure and pedicure! At 6 we headed to the church for the rehearsal. This is where our night started to go all downhill.

First off - wow. Max's little voice can really echo and carry in a mostly empty church. Yikes! The end of every song included 1-2 minutes of Max screaming 'All done!' And the laughs of those in attendance did not help quiet him! Max ran around the church and out front of the church during the rehearsal. His squeals of 'Wee, wee, wee!' were only stopped by his pleas of 'Down, down, down!' when Matt or I tried to restrain him! We had a bag full of goodies, but they did not help. Goldfish ended up all over the church. When I pulled out a book I thought Max would like to read, he pointed out each animal and made the corresponding noise... in the volume only a toddler is capable of. At the end of the rehearsal we brought him back up to the alter to practice walking down the aisle with the other ring bearer and flower girl. He sprinted down the aisle, ran past the bride and groom and headed out of the church. It was a nightmare! Seeing as it was already past his bedtime at this point, we happily brought him home before heading out to the rehearsal dinner!
