Comerford Chronicles: Stewart/Aubrey Wedding!

I was so ready to just skip the wedding... I was so dreading how Max would be. Matt and I gave a lot of thought. My thought: It's a 20 minute ceremony. There has got to be a way to get him to behave... it's only 20 minutes! Grandma Joan and I headed to Walmart and bought some new and exciting things to intrigue him with. No spill snack cups (he usually steals his friends). We got 2 of these and filled them with yummy snacks. A vanilla frosty from Wendy's in a spill proof cup. A new coloring book with funky crayons. A travel Aqua Doodle. Grandma Joan and Grandpa Al. LOL... we hid Daddy in the back of the church, hoping that Max would be caught off guard by all the people.

The church started off pretty well. While the processional started, I sat in the vestibule with Max and we read a Noah's Ark book and pointed out all the animals. Much to my surprise Max sat right on my lap and read along. (Fortunately I was the last bridesmaid to go before the maid of honor!) Then my time came and I waddled down the aisle.

Soon came the moment of truth. Max was first with Noah and Skylar behind him. This proved to be genius because when Max would stop walking, Skylar would just give him a little shove. Max did pretty well walking down the aisle. No sprinting, but he was definitely looking at everyone like 'Who the heck are you and why are you taking my picture?!' About 3/4 of the way down the aisle he reached the photographer and gave him the dirtiest look ever. Max has some seriously expressive eyebrows! Everyone that could see this burst out laughing. I had been so worried about Max even making it down the aisle I did not plan for getting pictures of this. The photo package Tammy has includes the photo files, so some day I will get the pics and post them for you - trust me, they are hilarious!! Max then passed the photographers and went to stand in front of the groomsmen. More expressive eyebrows and dirty looks from Max. The other ring bearer and flower girls were still frozen 3/4 of the way down the aisle. I went over to grab Max as the other two were ushered to their parents. Phewf! It was over! I had tears in my eyes, I was so proud! Oh wait... now we need to make it through the ceremony, yikes! Max let out a couple 'Down?!s' and only one 'All done!' During the ceremony. Beside the fact that he attempted to sing along with one of the songs, he was so well behaved. There were a lot of children at the wedding and over all they were all well behaved!

The reception was the easy part. Max started dancing the second the party started and didn't stop, even when his dancing was reduced to wiggling on the floor because he was too tired to stand! Here are some pics... Enjoy!!
