Happy 4th!

The 4th of July. It's in the low 50s and raining. We were supposed to go to Enchanted Forest Water Safari today - but that's not happening! Max desperately needs to burn off some energy, but what to do? I throw on his crocs, swim trunks, and a sweatshirt. Have at it little buddy!

After a pizza dinner we headed down to the beach for some fireworks! I was eager to see how Max would take the fireworks this year, because last year he LOVED them! He kept reaching out, trying to grab them. This year he was not so sure. He seemed very confused that everyone else seemed so happy that the sky was exploding. Sometimes he looked in the other direction; sometimes he covered his eyes. But! He kept trying to sneak peaks - curiousity got the best of him after all! He held tight to us though - we'll see how he reacts next year, I think he's had enough fireworks this year!
