I texted Matt and we made plans to go out to lunch for soup, salad, and breadsticks at Olive Garden. I have a laundry list of things to do, but I decided to head home for a surprise nap before meeting Matt at 11. I closed my eyes at 8:38. They opened again at 10:55. Yikes! I was sleepy and so OUT! Yep, there was drool on my pillow. I can't even begin to tell you how horribly stressful this past semester has been on me and my family, and now that it is all coming to an end it's really hitting us. I rush to gather my stuff and head out to Henrietta. Matt and I decide to skip lunch as neither of us are really hungry and we head to Best Buy to get a DSLR! I am so excited! We finally decided on a Canon Rebel XS. As we are leaving the salesman says "Thank you, buh-bye! I hope you get your voice back!" To which Matt replies, "I don't!" Don't you just love him?!
I'll spare you the details of the next several hours; They consisted of pumping, homework, and class... blah! When I got home Max looked confused as Mommy's voice was completely gone. The inquisitive, confused look on his face was priceless. "Mommy's voice stuCK!" He scrunched his eyebrows and with a determined look on his face he shoved both hands into my mouth and wiggled his fingers around. He was going to unstuck my voice. Not for lack of trying, Max's attempts we unsuccessful, but with sheer determination I was able to read a bedtime story, my favorite...
...The stars twinkle brightly,
The moon softly gleams.
Snuggle up sleepy ones,
Hush now, sweet dreams!
