Halloween 2011

What a fun Halloween we had this year!  It was a little hectic with working later than planned, but we headed home, shoved a little dinner into the kids, and headed out the door!  We went trick-or-treating with our neighbor and his two little girls.  The 4 year olds were entirely too efficient at trick or treating than the 2 year olds so Matt went on ahead with Max and Audrey.  Greg and I took the super slow Kinley and Natalie and even though we skipped most of the houses and the girls rode in the stroller a lot, it took forever compared to Matt and his little ToT machines!  I can't imagine how much easier this will be in a couple years!

Originally, I had planned for Max to wear his shark costume from last year.  It still fits, is in great condition, and is a really nice costume.  But Max wanted to be a dinosaur.  And I couldn't convince him that the costume was a shark-dinosaur, so I headed to the store.  I found a dragon costume, shrugged, and decided to call it a dragon-dinosaur... Rwar!!!!  Upon presenting the costume to Max asks if it is a dinosaur, I enthusiastically (nervously) tell him it's a dragon-dinosaur.  He looks at the costume for a minute and I try to read his reaction, then he starts to scream and I hold my breath... "How COOL!  A dragon dinosaur!  Thanks mom!"

So for Kinley I had decided to go the hamburger costume route.  I had contemplated this last year, but was afraid that by dressing my little baby girl up as a hamburger I may forever damage her psyche.  Now that she was a little older and (for the time being) has seemed to totally embrace her nick-name, I offered the idea to her and she accepted.
We went to the store and picked out the hamburger costume.
We headed to the registers.
We passed a butterfly costume.
She asked to try it on.  (uh-oh)
I put the butterfly costume on her.
She puts her hands in front of her superman (girl) style and starts running around the store.
"Y(l)-ook Mommy.  I can fly!"
How could I not get my little burger the butterfly costume?!

Kinley was soooo slow!  The other kids were already on
their way to the next house before Kinley even reached the door.

Kinley stopping for a rest. From what, I do not know.
