A Tasty Fall

So my new schedule has made life busier for us in some ways, but less hectic in others.  This fall we've been able to enjoy some fun fall in the kitchen!  We went apple picking and then had to decide what to do with all the apples.  (please excuse the quality of some pics.  I sent them from my phone, but they really shouldn't look this bad!)

Kinley helping Mommy with apple oatmeal cookies.
Apple oatmeal cookies we made for Max's school bake sale.
I'd love to tell you the amount of each ingredient, but I can't.
Don't tell Grandma Betty, but this was really just a "wing it" recipe for me!

Okay, so no apples involved here - but this is our jack-o-latern pizza.
Boboli crust, pizza sauce, cheese, green and red peppers for the face.

Pork loin roast with apples and red onions.  So delicious!!
(my adaptation from allrecipes.com)
Rub pork with sage, thyme, rosemary, marjoram, salt, pepper - refrigerate for 6-8 hrs
Roast at 325 degrees for 1-1.5 hrs.
Mix 4 chopped tart apples, 1 chopped red onion, and 3 tbsp of brown sugar.
Spoon mixture around roast, continue to cook for 1 hour.  Enjoy!

Monster Mouths!
We brought these to the neighborhood Halloween parade.
Very east to make.
Slices of red apples, peanut butter, mini marshmallows for the teeth.
