Comerford Chronicles: It's about time...

(08:48) So the semester ended last week and I am sure you've been wondering where I am. As I type this Kinley is waving at herself in the sing along stage, Max is upstairs in a time out (the second for today, despite the early hour), and the dogs are curled up at my feet asleep. This past weekend I had a 'craft day' which turned into an organize my scrapbook stuff slash girls' day. Either way it was fun and the respite I needed after a crazy semester. Sunday was a family day - our first in what seemed like forever! This week so far: Monday we went to story time at the library on Monday, I slept on Tuesday (worked overnight), Wednesday we shopped, played baseball, and Tammy came to visit in the evening. (09:18)

(14:14) I had stopped typing earlier because it was then time to head out and have some sunny fun. Not warm fun, but sunny fun. Then we came in because one little one could not stop being naughty and the other kept eating mulch. I'll let you figure out who was whom. Then lunch and nap. I had to take a bit of a nap too since both lovely children had me up before Matt was barely out the door - and we all know how early he leaves! So back to the point. Yes, spring semester has ended (can you hear birds singing? or are they angels?) But of course now starts the summer semester. Of course I have not yet started work for this new semester yet. (14:23)

(15:04) My adorable little monster awoke, interrupting my thoughts. I sure hope he got up on the other side of the bed post-nap! This morning was a little rough. Anyways - my arm acting up again, which makes it difficult to type, and as I am trying to illustrate it is just as difficult to get a few consecutive moments to gather my thoughts and get them all down. And so now as I watch Max torture my furbabies, I have a sinking feeling my prayers were not answered. I'll get back to you soon. (15:16)

(17:47) So I rescued the dogs, put a little Peter Pan on for Max then read some leisure reading while waiting for the KB to wake up. I picked up the kitchen a little bit, gave the little ones a snack, then Matt got home. We surprised him with the opportunity to take a nap... an uninterrupted 90 minutes of rest after working a full day, then getting buff at the gym. Of course he jumped at the offer. Now Max is playing outside while Matt grills. Kinley is playing inside while I get to know my fancy camera a little better. The salt potatoes are almost done and I've got to get the table set for dinner. I just took this quick break to update you! (17:52)

(18:12) Mmmmm. Yummy dinner. Max is in the playroom. Matt and Kinley are still puttering at the dinner table. The dogs are anxiously awaiting food droppings. The latest episode of 19 Kids and Counting is on. Once the show is over we will head out for another walk! (18:14)

(21:04) So now both kids are in bed. I've gone through some photos I will post. Matt and I are catching up on some DVR'd shows and (21:12) Sorry! We are watching American Idol... attention diverted for a few! Anyways - we are catching up on TV and starting to make our lists for Dominican.... soon! (21:13)

So, you can see how difficult it is for me to finish a post?! Ha! Perhaps I should set aside undistracted time to blog. Maybe some day in the future... I will leave you with some products of my adventures in DSLR land...
