A New Year

And what a start!! I headed off to Strong at 6:15 am to work a shift I foolishly volunteered for. Matt was hoping Max would sleep in as we had kept him up way past his bed time the night before - but no such luck! We had gotten a lot of snow over the last 24 hours and Matt was itching to get out in the snow, but wasn't sure what to do with Max. Max is not a big fan of bundling up! Both sets of grandparents bought Max snowpants, so I told Matt to pick one, and slowly get Max bundled up, then bring him out. Matt had a surprisingly easy time getting him ready - not too much of a fight, then brought Max out to help with snow removal. As we guessed, Max *loved* it! Matt was very proud of himself, because he brought the camera outside with him and snapped some pretty good pictures. I did have one complaint though - Max had a trail of nose drippings that started in his nose and ended on the coat, just below his chin.... yuck!! I have to post some of these pics for you, because besides the boogers, they are pretty cute!
As soon as my shift was over, I hurried home, packed, and Matt loaded up the van. Max and I headed to Oneida. We got to Oneida, had some dinner with Grandma Joan and Uncle Jeff, then headed off to bed. Our plan was to leave the next morning for New Jersey - or so we thought!
